Queenship of Mary

Today is the Feast of Mary as the Queen of Heaven and Earth. Jesus Christ is the King of the Universe and Mary is our Queen. Jesus is all-powerful; and because of her intimate relationship with the Most Holy Trinity, shares in the power of Christ above all humans angels and demons. There is nothing more powerful than God and Our Lady. We are totally safe in their hands. Let me say that again – we are totally safe in the care of Jesus and Mary. You are safe. Let that sink in.

However, both Jesus, St. Paul and St. John call Satan the ruler of this world

In John 14:30 Jesus said: I shall not talk with you any longer, because the prince of this world is on his way. He has no power over me

One

John 5:18 We know that anyone who has been begotten by God does not sin, because the begotten Son of God protects him, and the Evil One does not touch him. We know that we belong to God, but the whole world lies in the power of the Evil One.

How do we reconcile these two apparently contradictory things: The Reign of Jesus and Mary and the power the devil seems to hold in this world?

It is simple – Jesus reigns in the heart of those who do His will.

Satan reigns in the hearts of those who turn away from God and live a life of sin.

Every sin, even the smallest is a turning away from God and toward the devil. There are only two destinies in the end: God and Heaven, Hell and Satan. By each choice we are charting the course of our eternal destiny and who we serve as our King and Queen.

Two

In the last line of the Our Father we pray: Deliver us from evil. Amen

In this petition, evil is not an abstraction, but refers to a person, Satan, the Evil One, the angel who opposes God.

Jesus called him “A murderer from the beginning…a liar and the father of lies,” Satan is “the deceiver of the whole world.”

The devil is the absolute destroyer. He is the one who seeks to destroy God's plan for the world and for our salvation.

Satan wants to turn you away from the will of God

1 Peter 5:8 Be calm but vigilant, because your enemy the devil is prowling round like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour.

Satan is a pure spirit vastly more intelligent and powerful than you. He never sleeps, he has been around from the beginning of time; it is not his first rodeo and he wants to destroy you.

Three

Originally, Satan and the demons were good angels created by God who turned away and rejected God and His reign forever. Simply put, they did not want God. God respects their freedom and gives them a place where He is not present – Hell.

Misery loves company. Satan and the demons want us to share their miserable choice and their eternal suffering so they do all they can to turn away from God permanently by sin and destroy us in hell.

The Book of Revelation chapter 12 tells us the Victory over the “prince of this world” was won once for all at the Hour when Jesus freely gave himself up to death to give us his life. This is the judgment of this world, and the prince of this world is cast out. Then Satan pursued the woman, Mary but had no hold on her because she is full of grace of the Holy Spirit, she is preserved from sin and the corruption of death…Therefore, the dragon (Satan) was enraged with the woman and went away to make war on the rest of her children, that is, all who obey God's commandments and bear witness for Jesus.

The Devil can’t touch Mary, therefore he seeks to destroy her children, he seeks to destroy us. But if we he can’t touch her, then we can find refuge under her mantle of protection.

Belong to Mary and the Devil will not be able to touch you!

Four

I have attached a powerful Image of Mary known as the Refuge of Sinners. In this image angels lift up the mantle or cloak of Mary and underneath we find people of every race and nationality hidden underneath where Satan cannot touch them, cannot harm them – under her Mantle they are safe.

If we entrust ourselves entirely to Mary, if we belong totally to her, stay close to her at all times, then the devil cannot touch us. This is the great power three things:

A.  By consecrating ourselves to Mary we belong entirely to her. She will protect and guide us at all times.

B.  Then stick close to her by developing a personal friendship with her, moment to moment, day after day. Constantly speak to Jesus and Mary, friend to friend, heart to heart.

C. Pray the Rosary every day. Pray it multiple times of day.

Our Lady Said at the approved apparition San Nicolas Argentina on April 10, 1986 “The Holy Rosary is the weapon which the enemy fears. It is also the refuge of those who look for relief for their sufferings, and it is the door to enter into my heart.”

Five

We can offer anything and everything to Mary which she brings to Jesus to save our souls and the souls of others. We can even give to Mary our sins and failings, character defects and flaws which she purifies and offers to Jesus for the world and souls. Mary is the best of all mothers who cleans up everything we give to her. We are like the kids who bring home to mom all our dirty laundry. She accepts this smelly gift with unconditional love, then she cleans them up and offers us to Jesus and the Father. Let us love Our Lady, Our Queen, our win-win mother.
