Miracle at the Vistula
ONE
In 1976, St. JPII, then Karol Wojtyla, gave an address in the America in which he stated;
“We are now standing in the face of the greatest historical confrontation humanity has ever experienced. I do not think that wide circles of American society or wide circles of the Christian community realize this fully. We are now facing the final confrontation between the Church and the anti-Church, between the Gospel and the anti-gospel, between Christ and the antichrist. We all realize it is not an easy matter, and a great deal of it depends upon the outcome on the Vistula. This confrontation lies within the plans of Divine Providence. It is, therefore, in God's Plan, and it must be a trial which the Church must take up, and face courageously. We must prepare ourselves to suffer great trials before long, such as will demand of us a disposition to give up even life, and a total dedication to Christ and for Christ. With your and my prayers, it is possible to mitigate the coming tribulation, but it is no longer possible to avert it, because only thus can the Church be effectually renewed. How many times has the renewal of the Church sprung from the shedding of blood? This time, too, it will not be otherwise. We must be strong and prepared and trust in Christ and in his Holy Mother and be very, very assiduous in praying the holy rosary."
TWO
What did St. John Paul II mean when he said “We all realize it is not an easy matter, and a great deal of it depends upon the outcome on the Vistula.”?
By August 1920, Poland appeared doomed as the Soviet Red Army advanced on the city of Warsaw. Only the Vistula river stood between the Polish and Soviet Armies.
On August 15, 1920 both Polish and Russian soldiers testified they saw Mary appearing over the Polish Army as if to defend them in Battle.
· Simultaneously a break in the Soviet defenses was detected
· Through which General Pilsudski led the Polish army to outflank the Soviets, throw them into a panic and defeat them.
· Everyone that day was convinced that the Victory came through Mary.
They called it the “Miracle of the Vistula”.
JPII said that what happened at the Vistual is a prophetic sign of what will happen in America.
That only Our Lady has the God-given role to crush the head of the serpent, Satan and to give us victory in this spiritual battle. That is why we consecrate ourselves to her, take up the weapon of the Rosary every day, and build your team.
THREE
Consecration to Mary.
In July 1917, just a few months before the Communist Revolution in Russia, Mary said to the world at Fatima;“God wishes to establish in the world devotion/consecration to my Immaculate Heart. If what I say to you is done, many souls will be saved and there will be peace.”
On March 25, 1984, the Feast of the Annunciation, Pope St. John Paul II consecrated Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary and what happened next no one thought was possible. November 9, 1989, the Berlin Wall, the sign of Soviet power, came down. December 8, 1991 the Feast of the Immaculate Conception, the Soviet Union ended and all the countries under the Iron Curtain were set free.
But Russia was not the end game. God wants to save all peoples and all nations through Consecration to Mary.
The Devil works by his two hands, Marxist Communist Atheism and Western Secular Atheism. Both are designed to cause man to forget about God. Both will only be overcome by Consecration to Mary.
Our Lady says to us; “Give me your hearts, and I will put Jesus in them and make you my apostles.”
FOUR
The Rosary.
From 1983 through 1990 Mary appeared to Gladys Quirogo de Motta, a housewife in San Nicolas, Argentina.
My daughter, at this time there is an extreme need for prayer. On this day the Lord will listen to the Rosary as if it were my voice.
· “God's warning is over the world. Those who stay in the Lord have nothing to fear, but those who deny what comes from him do. Two-thirds of the world is lost and the other part must pray and make reparation for the Lord to take pity. The devil wants to have full domination over the earth. He wants to destroy it. The Earth is in great danger."
· Mary tells us; “The weapon that has the greatest influence on evil is to say the Rosary."
· She described pride as the great evil in the world of today. To fight this, she said that there should be special devotion to the Holy Rosary.
FIVE
In the daily Mass readings the Church presents to us Judas Maccabees – the last great Jewish Warrior.
In 167 BC the Greek king, Antiochus IV conquered Israel, outlawed the Jewish religion, imposed Greek culture and religion and decreed the final destruction of the Jews and that foreign peoples would be brought in to resettle their land. It looked as though it were over for Israel. But God built Judas Maccabeus (which means The Hammer) for this moment. And the first thing he did was build a team. He gathered nine companions around him and then they went village to village and enlisted those who persevered in the faith. Sounds like what Troy and I are doing going house to house and town to town, helping people build up their teams. As soon as Judas got his army organized, the Greeks could not withstand him. And even though they were vastly outnumbered they slowly began a resistance that overcame the Greeks in three short years, winning their religious and national freedom.
We need to gather our teams. We were not designed to go it alone. Alone you are more vulnerable to attack. United as a team you are strong. Pray the Team Rosary. We used to say Family Rosary however many people do not have access to family that can or will pray the Rosary with them. Still, you need a team. Do not overlook who God has already placed in your life – that is your team. It might be a spouse or one of your kids, or all your kids, or a friend or small group of friends.
The Marines would never send out solitary soldiers. If the wisdom of the world knows the most effective fighting team is a small unit, then apply that to the spiritual battle and form a team.
