Feast of the Mother of God

You cannot imagine what this new year holds for you.

Looking into the unknown is like looking into complete and total darkness.

Yet, from the darkness comes a Mother’s voice and her hand stretched forth towards you. Mary says to you, “Take my hand. I will guide you through this year. You have nothing to fear by my side. Am I not here who am your Mother?”

God wants to do something very great in your life this year.

The Holy Spirit works through Mary to enable you to receive all God desires to do in you.

To receive this, Jesus and the Saints teach us to develop a close relationship with Mary. Think of how Jesus lived with Mary from the first Christmas until he began his public ministry, thirty years later. He lived with Mary.

To receive the great things God wants to do in our lives this year, let us also learn to live with Mary this year. Sit in the school of Mary each day in the Rosary. Mary is with you always but you are not aware. Practice becoming aware of her presence. Every time you see her picture, statue or medal, say to her, “Yes, Mother, I see you, I know you are with me.”

Talk to her continuously about everything going on in your life.

Give everything to her. Ask her to guide everything for you.

Yes, 2022 should be our year with Mary.

Those who knew St. John Paul II well said he was always in conversation with Mary.

Someone once asked him, “Have you ever seen the Virgin Mary?” “No” he replied. “But I sense her presence continuously.”

And one year after he was shot in St. Peter’s Square he said, “This last year I have lived a constant conversation with Mary.”

Monsignor George Tracy was struck by the conversation John Paul had with Mary after Mass one day. He mentioned this to one of the Pope’s attendants who replied, “We know, He does that all the time, and she’s the only one he listens to around here.”

We listen to too many of the wrong voices.

We listen to our own voice in our head and we tell ourselves too often we tell ourselves the wrong story.

We pay too much attention to what the news, or social media or email has to say to us.

I want to live in a different way this year. I want to live in a deep friendship with Mary, having a constant conversation with Mary, listening to her and following her inspirations.

Wont you join me this year.

Immaculate Conception, Mary my Mother

Live in me, Act in me, Speak in me and through me,

Think your thoughts in my mind, Love through my heart.

Give me your dispositions and feelings.

Teach me, lead me and guide me to Jesus.

Correct, enlighten and expand my thoughts and behavior.

Posses my soul. Take over my entire personality and life. Replace it with yourself. Incline me to constant adoration.

Pray in me and through me. Let me live in you and keep me in this union always. Amen

This year, let us help Mary make something great of everyone’s life by leading them to her in the Rosary.

We continue to pray the Rosary daily. And to help others let us each invite four people to pray one decade of the Rosary every day for one month. One decade takes less than four minutes. You invite four others. You take the first mystery, the Annunciation, someone else takes the Visitation, a third, the Nativity, the fourth prays the Presentation in the Temple, and the fifth person prays the Finding in the Temple. Though each prays their decade separately, together you have prayed the whole Rosary. What could not be done alone is accomplished by a Rosary Team.

Ask the Holy Spirit in this decade to place four people on your heart. Then invite them to join your team.
