Leon Suprenant graduated from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law, J.D. with distinction and then went on to study at Our Lady of Grace Seminary, Boston, Massachusetts, receiving an equivalent of a bachelor’s degree in liberal arts and philosophy.  He also completed graduate theology coursework while studying for the priesthood at St John’s Seminary in Camarillo. He completed his master’s in theology and Christian ministry at Franciscan University of Steubenville.

Personal quote from Leon:

I’m the youngest of fourteen children. I have nearly 100 nephews and nieces (that includes great- and great-great, and even great-great-great-nephews and nieces!). We have six children (also lost eight via miscarriage), one grandchild, and 15 godchildren who are all dear to us. Home life is very important to me.  I love spectator sports (pro, college, and especially my kids), and I also exercise regularly for my own sanity as well as to keep up with all of them.

I’m a litigation attorney by trade, but a catechist by choice and divine providence. Long ago I chose to commit my professional life to doing whatever I could, using whatever gifts and tools God gives me, to help others come to know and love Christ and His Church.

I am thrilled that I am now able to use both my teaching and writing gifts to assist the dynamic work of School of Faith here in my home Archdiocese of Kansas City, which is as close as we’re going to get to heaven in this life. We have an awesome Archbishop, an awesome board of directors, and an awesome team, headed by our awesome leader Mike Scherschligt. And what’s awesome about all of them, and about School of Faith in general, is that they get it. They know we need to teach the faith in such a way that people come away not only with an orthodox understanding of the faith (which itself, sadly, is quite a feat today), but a commitment to personal renewal, virtue, and daily prayer, all nourished regularly through the sacraments. And I appreciate the fact that we target those who are charged with the responsible of forming others, especially children, in the faith, so that our efforts, God willing, have a multiplier effect.
